Summary

In the MVR (mechanical vapor recompression) evaporation system, the electric driven steam compressor is used to continuously compress the secondary steam generated into the steam system to higher pressure, and raise secondary steam temperature, for the repeated use of the secondary steam after temperature rise, and supply the heat energy to the evaporative system for exchange. After the compression of steam and its subsequent heating, evaporation and condensation, the condensate liquor leaves the evaporation system. Princose's MVR plate evaporation system is unique in the industry, with the temperature difference 3°C, significantly reducing the mechanical compression electrical power. It is more energy efficient than traditional evaporation system.

When the MVR (mechanical vapor recompression) evaporation system is running, only supplement of minimal amount of steam is needed. Sometimes the residual steam condensation is used to keep the thermal balance of the evaporator set and guarantee stable operation conditions.




Product Features

The MVR energy-efficient evaporator is at the cutting-edge of the world's evaporator  technology. Only a small amount of primary steam is required (a little for the start-up of the machine while little for normal operation), which significantly reduces the operation cost and environmental pollution. Compared with traditional evaporator, it features small temperature difference and mild evaporation, significantly improving the product quality and reducing the scale.

Condenser is not required, or only the condenser with very small area is required, with simple structure and flow, automatic operation, continuous operation, being safe and reliable.

√ CIP realized .

The equipment is installed with CIP pipeline. CIP is realized and the equipment operation is convenient without dead end.

√ Material heating deformation is decreased

The materials evaporate at low temperature without foaming. The materials are uniform, without material running and coking, and the heating deformation is small.

√ Low operation cost

The installation space of the MVR evaporator is about two times that of common multi-effect evaporator, and the equipment investment fund is larger. The operation cost is much lower than that of common multi-effect evaporator. To avoid the operator error or MVR failure due to misoperation. It is necessary to protect the automatic operation system of the equipment.

√ Fresh steam is used as energy

Traditional multi-effect evaporator uses fresh steam as the energy. The energy consumed by the MVR mechanical compression evaporator is electric energy, and electricity of 17-23 kWh is generally consumed for evaporation of 1-ton water. The material with small rise of the boiling point can reach the power consumption level below 20kWh per ton of water. Energy saving level is closely related to the local unit price of fresh steam and electricity price of the user. Usually, the MVR evaporator saves the energy by over 60% by comparison with five-effect evaporator.

In some special regions with very low steam cost and very high electricity price, the MVR mechanical compression evaporator features insignificant economic advantages. It is not recommended for use. The MVR evaporator features simple equipment construction and few public utilities.




Working principle

Mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) evaporator is used for generating secondary steam by the compressor. For compression by the compressor, the pressure and temperature rises, and enthalpy increases. Then it is returned to the heating chamber of the evaporator as the heating steam, so that the liquid is maintained in the boiling status. The heated steam is condensed into water. Thus, the original steam to be discarded is fully used. Latent heat is recycled, and thermal efficiency is improved. The economy of crude steam is equivalent to 30-effect evaporation, reducing the demand for external heating and cooling resources, reducing the energy consumption, and decreasing the pollution.

It is applicable for evaporation and concentration of various materials, particularly applicable for the materials not ready for scaling , or having strong thermal sensitivity.
